PC Securenet
PC SecureNet Remove Guide
PC Securenet is a malware that pretends to be a security application that can eliminate threats. Real time protection against harmful threats is one of the benefits that it promotes to give users who will purchase its full version. Other features that it claims to have include the capability to perform full system scan, scanning of removable media and scanning in particular locations. Aside from offering simulated features, this threat makes use of deceptive techniques to fully convince its victims to spend money for its full version. This rogue application does not deserve to be trusted. Remove PC Securenet at once to avoid encountering problems on the computer.
PC Securenet Propagation Method and Programmed Activities
Like other scareware, PC Securenet uses fake alert Trojans to get into different computers. It can be dropped or downloaded by a Trojan that usually enters the computer by means of security exploits and vulnerabilities in different applications. Upon installation, this threat secures its files in different folders. To make it unnoticeable, it names its executable using an unrecognizable filename in the System folder.
To make it seem like a legitimate anti-spyware application, it offers uninstall and help features. This program runs at startup. It automatically runs its fake scanner to convince users that it is fully functional. The scan results that it gives are misleading and somehow exaggerated. Aside from giving falsified threat reports, this malware exhibits too many threat alert messages that bombard the computer’s screen and take up huge amounts of memory.
The following are just some of the effects of this threat on the computer:
- Display of several ads that disguise as security warnings, virus penetration alerts, etc.
- Slowing down of the computer
- Freezing of running applications
- Immobilization of security applications
Before the machine gets clogged with pop ups and deceiving threat alert messages and warnings, take action and get PC Securenet removed on the computer.
